Welcome to the Professional
Drivers’ Association Inc. website

The Professional Drivers' Association Inc. (Registered No. A0058062V) welcomes you to this website. The PDA is committed to working with the public, governments, regulators and drivers of taxis and Hire Cars to improve service safety, choice, accessibility and affordability. That will require the introduction of a radical new industry business model. We are committed to the task of overhauling the approach to service delivery to create an industry that is responsive to customers' needs.  The PDA knows that it is now time for massive change to be made for point-to-point travel options. Primarily, this challenge is for governments, the travelling public and drivers who, working together, can develop a modern, responsive, affordable, reliable and innovative set of expanded services.  We know that there needs to be a period for "rebuilding trust" and we invite you to read the "Our Bridges" section of this website.

The introduction of competition in the taxi and hire car industries will take time to implement and, beginning in Victoria, is likely to be adopted in all states and territories.

The Professional Drivers' Association Inc. is primarily an association created to represent drivers who own and operate their own PBO's (Minicabs) and taxis.

We will support members efforts to increase their businesses and we will intercede on their behalf in dealing with regulators and governments.
